My friend has wanted me to do a cake for her potluck tea time with a simple design.. means no cherries, no choc chips.. so I have replaced cherries with blueberries.. and it looks so simple, but very elegant and yet so tasteful, pleasing to the eyes...

Baking Cupcakes After Nearly Two Years






After having some modifications, I have got two versions of these cupcakes...

It's been such a long time that I haven't bake cupcakes. I didn't know why I've stopped baking them, maybe because there was this incident ...... Well, I 've guessed I was sad and thus, I've concentrated only on baking cakes- big cakes which produce wonderful results and made me happy again.

So, today, I've baked them, cupcakes again- Black Bottom Cheese Cupcakes, with good results but I think as any recipes, we need to modify a little bit- here and there, yes we need to do countless chemistry experiments...through trial and error. Most of the recipes have used a lot of sugar, but I think, with less sugar, and with a little bit of liquid, they would be all right. What we should remember is, with cheese, the less we eat, the better it would be. Therefore, these cupcakes should not be consumed in a go- take it slowly, bite by bite... then, we could be in perfect indulgence. Welcome to the world of Cheese....

Another twist, another taste

Scones or biscuits- yet to be decided...

My chocolate chip sugar buns were sold out.. that I've thought that it would be best to bake another batch and bring them again to work place. So, yesterday morning, I've decided to bake another batch of these sugar buns. Unfortunately or even fortunately, I've mistakenly put baking soda instead of baking powder, and I end up putting cream or tartar just to rectify my mistake, and adding lemon zest. This time I've put milk- guess what I've got- liquidy batter..

Well, just hoping it would turn well. And my results were these pictures above- more or less like biscuits versus scones. I've liked them too just like the first batch.. It's true that baking makes me happy and satisfied. I've never been so happy for all this time- that I think I should start taking out my baking bowl and start exciting baking projects.. It's been such a long time that I haven't bake my cupcakes. Yes, I will start my inventions again.. finding the ever delicious cupcakes....
